About Me
My name is Erika "Tecolocoyotl" Rincon, and my journey weaves together design, psychology, and holistic healing. Originally from Mexico City, I moved to the United States at the age of nine, carrying with me the deep cultural roots of my Nahual heritage.
For over a decade, I worked as a graphic, web, and UX designer, earning a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design from California State University, Northridge and completing certifications in Web Development, UX Design, Product Management, and Online Psychology. As I explored human-centered design, I became increasingly drawn to the psychology of human experience—a calling that ultimately led me to the field of somatic therapy.
In 2021, I decided to fully embrace this path by pursuing a Master’s in Somatic Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, to become a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). Today, I work as an Associate Somatic Therapist, helping individuals navigate their healing journeys through embodiment practices, relational therapy, and psychedelic integration. I also facilitate cuddle gatherings—safe spaces designed to foster connection, nervous system regulation, and emotional healing.
My Mission
My work is dedicated to supporting individual and collective healing. I believe in the power of attuned connection, guided experiences, and somatic awareness to help people reclaim their inner wisdom and resilience.
My vision is to establish a therapeutic practice in the Bay Area while collaborating with local organizations to provide regenerative healing experiences for communities affected by systemic injustices. I am committed to creating spaces that foster inclusivity, equity, and collective empowerment where individuals and communities can process, heal, and thrive.
If you’re looking for trauma-informed, body-based healing, or psychedelic integration support, I’d love to connect with you.
